First blog post! So exciting!

So one thing that you will notice is that I love dresses. But since I don’t really ever wear cardigans, it’s hard to figure out a way to wear them in the winter without freezing. This year, however, I started layering slip dresses under sweaters. This slip dress is from my favorite store Free People and if I could afford every color they have (there are a bunch) I totally would. But since I can’t, I bought one army green and a black one and wear them all the time with everything I can think of.

I found this sweater at Urban Outfitters last winter and love it. It’s the perfect fit to layer with the swingy slip dress because of the shape and how it just hangs instead of cinching at the bottom. I usually wear black knee-high socks with them but it was way too cold this day to do that, during this shoot so I just kept my black tights on. I was still freezing though, hence the hot chocolate.

Time to talk shoes!! I saw these shoes on a fashion blogger a few years back and I fell in love with them. I was super happy when I saw she had a link for them with her picture. They turned out to be from a wholesale site called wholesale7.net and they were about 15 dollars! I ordered them immediately and love them with this outfit. These will definitely be featured in future posts.

Lastly, I want a huge thank you to a fellow Johnnie and super talented friend Nailah Fisher. We met last semester and when she mentioned she loved photography I mentioned my love for fashion and my blog idea. When she agreed to help me out by taking photos, we planned out a weekend and had a two-day photoshoot. In return, I paid her a few hundred (no, not dollars) hugs. Please check out her portfolio here!
